Key Funeral Homes and Pre-need Industry Players Hold Awareness Forum on Cornea and Eye Donation!

QUEZON CITY — The Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines, through its President and CEO, Dr. Minguita Padilla, delivered a lecture on cornea and eye donation before key funeral homes and pre-need industry players, earlier this day, September 30, 2019.

Hosted by Arlington Memorial Chapels and Crematory, several industry players such as Heritage Park, Sanctuarium, Golden Haven Memorial, Eternal Plans Servicing Mortuary, and St. Peter Life Plans and Memorial actively participated in the activity. Also present were the barangay officials from Barangay Doña Imelda who also expressed their commitment in helping the advocacy of Eye Bank.

The Arlington Memorial Chapels & Crematory entered into formal partnership with the Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines last September 13, 2019. With the signing of the MOA, Arlington has agreed to participate in the Funeral Homes Retrieval and Distribution Program of the Eye Bank Foundation.

As part of its continuing partnership, Arlington and Eye Bank agreed to conduct a lecture together with key industry players in memorial and funeral homes to tackle how these partners can help Eye Bank in its advocacy. Likewise, it is the fervent hope of these institutions to strengthen awareness and acceptance on cornea and eye donation in the country.

Showbiz personality and renowned commentator Ali Sotto of DZBB also attended the activity and briefly shared her experience and participation in Eye Bank’s advocacy. #PartnersInSight #EyeBankPH
