Eye Bank’s President Celebrates 60th Birthday
The Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines, along with its personnel and partners, extend warmest birthday greetings to Dr. Ma. Dominga B. Padilla! Dr. Minguita Padilla, for many, is the key figure behind Eye Bank in the Philippines.
Through her selfless devotion since Eye Bank’s foundation in 1995, tens of thousands of lives have been transformed through the gift of sight restoration.
Together with the Eye Bank team, she has set the benchmark in international eye banking–making the Eye Bank Foundation one of the leading eye bank facilities globally.
As Eye Bank’s current President and Chief Executive Officer, her policy thrust is to strengthen consented and volunteer donation through the Hospital Retrieval Program.
Eye Bank’s Hospital Retrieval Program aims to establish relations with different government institutions, companies and corporations, and non-government organizations, in the hope of increasing awareness and yield in cornea and eye donation.
Dr. Minguita Padilla’s birthday celebration serves as our beacon of hope to continuously devote ourselves in the mission to share the gift of sight to all.
