Eye Bank Foundation Joins Multi Stakeholder Conversation on Universal Health Care

Being the only state-of-the-art internationally-accredited eye banking facility in the country, the Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines participated in the Conversation on Tobacco Control Initiatives, Impact of 17th Congress Tobacco Tax Increase, and Universal Health Care Implementing Rules and Regulation, today at PRRM, Mother Ignacia, Quezon City.

As part of its commitment in realizing health for all, the Eye Bank supports the discussions on the Universal Health Care Law and the crafting of its IRR.

More so, true to its mission in sharing the gift of sight and addressing the corneal blindness in the country, the EBFP further commits itself in advocacy work through partnerships and network building.

Ms. Ellen Lagan, R.N, manager of Eye Bank, spoke on behalf of the Foundation. In attendance are the representatives and officials from Department of Health, National Economic Development Authority, national network of health NGOs and CSOs.

The EBFP extends its utmost thanks to Social Watch Philippines in organizing the activity.
