Celebrating 31 Years of Restoring Sight: The Gift of Vision!

On October 16, 1995, the Santa Lucia International Eye Bank of Manila (SLIEBM) was established with a singular, life-changing mission: to bring light back into the lives of those suffering from corneal blindness.

For over three decades, our advocacy has been rooted in hope, compassion, and the incredible power of organ donation. Corneal blindness affects thousands of Filipinos, but through the selflessness of eye donors and their families, we are able to process and distribute healthy corneas to patients in desperate need of a transplant.

Why Eye Banking Matters:

  • Restoring Sight: A single donor can restore vision for up to two people, allowing them to see their loved ones, return to work, and experience the world again.
  • A Lasting Legacy: Eye donation transforms a moment of deep sorrow into a beautiful legacy of sight and healing.
  • Accessible Healthcare: We work tirelessly to ensure that safe, high-quality corneal tissues are available to surgeons and patients across the nation.

Sickness may dim the eyes, but humanity’s generosity can restore them. Join us in celebrating our anniversary by spreading awareness about corneal donation. You can be the reason someone sees tomorrow.
